The day has arrived . . .
It is Wednesday, June 21. Today is the day. I am going to be heading to Cincinnati with Stacy, her mom and her Aunt Debbie. They are heading to the wedding dress Mecca to do a little more shopping. I don't quite understand the process of trying on dresses that aren't your size and making a decision based on what you think it'll look like five or six months from now when it arrives, but it happens everyday. I'm sure Stacy will look incredible in her dress. Again, guys have the easy way out.
I've been asked several times if I'm nervous or anxious. At this point, no. I am guessing that when I head off to MEPS tomorrow morning at 0600 on a bus filled with 17-20 year olds, some of their anxiety may rub off on me. As for now, I'm just worried about getting to Columbus (via Dayton from what I found out yesterday) and getting a good night's sleep in preparation to the marathon I'm about to run.
I am planning to get letters out with regular frequency. It's going to be interesting to revert back to pony express for communication. I should have access to a phone in couple of weeks depending on how long it takes for people to figure things out and for us to get off of total control.
I'll keep you posted. Goodbye for now . . .
