World Cup Update

Hi Matt! I hope you are doing well. Wanted to give you the World Cup update - since Mike already gave you the update on the Tour de France. I wanted Argentina to win their match - but unfortunately they lost last week. It was a very very sad day for my work team from Argentina. To drown my sorrows, Mike and I went to Marche (French restaurant next to the Chocolate Cafe). Mike is becoming very adventurous with his dining - we ordered Escargot - and he loved it. (He also tried some of my Steak Tartare last week AND survived)!

As for the World Cup, the good news is that France is in the Final (on Sunday). We are excited - because we think that the nation will go crazy if France wins (and it will be so fun to be there in all the madness).

We leave on Sunday for vacation. Unfortunately, that means that I will miss Stacy's shower. I talked to your Mom about it. She is planning on going and is excited about it.

That is all that is going on here... Take care.
Jenn

A note from Matt (undated)

Well, we got smoked for 30 mins or so tonight after showers. We were late to formatio. I haven't gotten my PG status (board?) yet. I am a squad leader for now. The current PG is a buddy of mine that is also going to OCS. He told me he's feeling clueless, he'll be fine. The smoking wasn't anything. If that's all the harder they get, it won't be hard. There were people screaming and I could have done more. We did pushups, flutters, jumping jacks etc. Well its lights out and w'll probably get drug outside before our 0530 wakeup. Tell everyone hello and tha Ill see them soon. Probably no phone calls for a couple of weeks, but Im gettng used to writing.
Looking forward to hearing from everyone.
Matt

Finally, an address

I had a great phone call at about 830 this morning from Matt. Still short, just about 5 mins, but it was great to hear his voice. He has a cold and is spending his Sunday w/ his company making sure that everyones wall locker is in tip top shape. He is definately more interested in hearing about whats going on outside of the Army, than in sharing what is he doing. So on that note I encourage everyone to write as often as they have the chance or even just to print off news and sports storied from the internet that you think Matt might enjoy (and Mike, I was sure to mention the great events of the Tour!). Hope everyone is well, please feel free to pass along Matts info to anyone you like.
